Our Yr6 girls cricketers represented the school and Lowerhouse Cricket Club at the Primary Girls Dynamo Cricket Festival, winning all their matches against Burnley CC, Nelson CC, and Colne CC! 
They even met Grace Johnson, a player for Lancashire and former Lowerhouse CC player. Well done, girls!
Congratulations to our Sportshall Athletics team for their fantastic victory! They not only won their event but also qualified for the Burnley School Sport Partnership finals showing our values of aspiration and resilience! Today, our school had the wonderful opportunity to welcome the library service bus, an exciting initiative that brings a world of literature right to our doorstep! The children eagerly explored the vast selection of books available, carefully choosing titles that sparked their imagination and curiosity. It was heartwarming to see their enthusiasm as they shared their thoughts on their chosen books with friends and teachers alike. We are thrilled to announce that these new additions will soon be on display in our library, providing even more opportunities for our children to discover the joy of reading. We encourage all families to visit the library and explore these fantastic new resources together!📖
It was great to see Yr5 Oak class actively participating in one of our whole school Active Learning activities! It’s fantastic to see everyone joining in and fully engaged in their learning journey. A huge well done to Oak class for showcasing such enthusiasm and teamwork!
We are thrilled to announce that our Year 3 Athletics team has achieved an impressive 3rd place at the Burnley School Sports Hall Athletics competition! 🥉🏃♂️🏃♀️ This remarkable achievement showcases the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of our young athletes. They have trained hard, demonstrating not only their athletic skills but also teamwork and resilience throughout the competition.

In Forest School, Year 4 Rowan explored animal shelters! 
The children discussed what makes a good shelter and ventured into the forest to build their own. A fantastic hands-on learning experience!
This week, Mr Cosgrove's Yr5 & Yr6 Darts Club continued with an exciting session with Yr5 Chestnut! The children showcased incredible skills, hitting bullseyes, trebles and doubles!
