This morning, 4 of our Year 5/6 boys proudly represented our school and Burnley at the Lancashire School Games! 
They took part in skateboarding, scootering, and BMX activities. Well done to the boys for an amazing morning! A big thank you to Burnley School Sport Partnership for this fantastic opportunity. We are so proud of you!
Huge congratulations to our amazing Year 5 and Year 6 Sports Council for their outstanding effort in organising and running the Year 3/4 Athletics event! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ They did a fantastic job hosting various schools in the area, arranging events, scores, and races seamlessly. Their hard work truly shone through! Well done to everyone involved for making it such a success!
🌍✨ Exciting news from our Eco Council! We have collected all those pesky pens that no longer work, and we’ve organised a fantastic opportunity to recycle them! ♻️ A company will be sending us a free postage stamp to ensure all our pens are disposed of responsibly. Let’s do our part for the planet and keep our school eco-friendly!
Yr3 Elm and Yr3 Willow classes had a great morning at Gawthorpe Hall! The children sketched the lovely surroundings, capturing nature and buildings. 🌳🎨 They will use their sketches to create artwork inspired by David Hockney's digital style. We can’t wait to see their creativity!
Year 3 brought their science and art topics from class to life at Forest School! They explored our school grounds to create their own Japanese “Oshibana” artwork by pressing flowers. 
It was wonderful to see the children working together and showing their creativity. Well done, Year 3!
What an amazing end to the week with all classes taking part in Triathlon circuits with Tri Kidz and Epic Kidz Charity! 
The children showed incredible enthusiasm and support as they completed all events. A huge well done to everyone involved! Keep up the great work, everyone!
Well done to our Year 3/4 children who represented school in their first ever rounders match! It was a closely contested game played with amazing sportsmanship and respect. The match finished with a thrilling 19-17 win for Lowerhouse!

Following on from their fantastic work promoting road safety, our School Council is thrilled to announce that our very own road safety sign will soon be installed outside the front of school! 
A huge well done to the talented children whose posters were chosen for this important initiative.
Well done to our Key Stage 2 Girls Cricketers who represented school at the Burnley School Sport Partnership Girls Dynamo Cricket Festival at Lowerhouse Cricket Club
They took part in activities and games throughout the morning. It was fantastic to see all classes represented! Keep it up, girls!
Fantastic effort by our Yr5/6 Girls Football team in the Burnley Quarter Finals! 
The girls played hard and took the match to extra time, finishing with a close defeat of 3-2 with goals from HB and EA. Thank you to Mr Cosgrove and Mr O’Brien for organising the match, and to all our parents for their support!
Applause for our Eco-Council! They organised a spare uniform collection, providing free uniforms for families in need. Their dedication makes a difference in helping our school community! Well done, Eco-Council!
Today, we had a wonderful assembly with Leah from Pendleside Hospice, who shared details about our exciting opportunity of our sponsored Colour Run on Friday, 22nd May! 
All proceeds will support the incredible work of Pendleside Hospice in our community. Children will bring home sponsorship forms, so please keep an eye out! 
We invite all families to cheer on the children during this fun event. Let’s make a splash for a great cause!
