Today, school was filled with creativity as we showcased the amazing entries for our Easter Egg and Bonnet competition! Our School Council had the tough task of voting for the winners, who will be announced during our Merit Celebration Assembly on the last day of term. A huge thank you to everyone for your imaginative entries – your creativity truly shines!
A huge THANK YOU to all our wonderful families who supported us at our annual Easter Egg Bingo! 🐣 It was amazing to see the hall filled with people as we came together as a school community. Your enthusiasm and support made this event a great (and busy) success!
Our Year 5 Guardian Angels had a busy afternoon with their Year 2 buddies from Rosegrove Infant School! They created Easter bunnies and shared reading by Yr5 bringing a free book for their buddies. 
Thank you to all the children for their work and linking both schools!
What an amazing way to start our week! Our Rocksteady Music School Bands (and solo artists) showcased their incredible progress with a fantastic show for us all. A huge thank you to Elliot for his hard work and dedication over the past weeks and for parents who were able to celebrate with us in school!

What an incredible Viking Day for Year 5! 🛡️ The children immersed themselves with hands-on workshops and activities that brought the Viking era to Lowerhouse. From exploring Viking artefacts to learning about their daily lives, writing in runes, and even reenacting battles! Well done to everyone for your enthusiasm throughout the day!
Fantastic performance by our Year 5 and Year 6 Cross Country runners at the Burnley race! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ They truly showed our school values of resilience and aspiration. Congratulations to HB and TH for qualifying for the Lancashire Finals! Thank you to Mr Pope, Mr O’Brien, and all our staff for their support, and to our parents for being amazing too!
Year 3 took part in an exciting and enriching series of Roman Workshops! They had the incredible opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of ancient Rome. Our children explored a variety of ancient artefacts, gaining hands-on experience that brought history to life. They also engaged in creative activities, looking at ancient pottery and jewellery, which allowed them to fully understand Roman life and culture! 🏺
A huge thank you to all our wonderful families for joining us for our Stay and Read event this afternoon! It was fantastic to see an amazing turn our of families to join their children and share the joy of reading in school. We hope you enjoy your books at home and continue the reading together!
As part of International Women's Day, some of our amazing Year 4 and Year 5 girls represented our school brilliantly at the Burnley School Sport Partnership Girls Football Sessions this morning! 
They took part in various activities before playing 4 matches, winning 2 and drawing 1! Keep up the fantastic effort!

What an incredible adventure year 5 had at the Time Odyssey Museum at Science and Industry Museum in Manchester! 
Our children represented the school brilliantly as they journeyed through time, exploring the worlds of Vikings, Ancient Egyptians and many more! It was great to see our values of respect and aspiration show towards their learning!
Our Yr6 Chess Club leader board is heating up! 
Another fantastic lunchtime filled with close games has showcased the skills our children are developing. It’s wonderful to see them not only honing their own abilities but also teaching each other along the way.
