Today, we launched our Music RockSteady Sessions with incredible enthusiasm! 🎤✨ Groups of children dived into learning new instruments, showcasing our school value of respect. This half term, Year 4 have kicked off their topic on the Lancashire Cotton Industry with an exciting trip to Queen Street Mill Textile Museum! 
Today, Maple Class delved into life as a child during this era, gaining hands-on experience and insights into the challenges faced by young workers. A massive thank you to Queens Street Mill for an amazing day!
We’re wrapping up the half term with our brilliant displays of writing that showcases our children's hard work! From the magical worlds of The Nowhere Emporium and Skellig to the beloved tales of 101 Dalmatians and Paddington, our students have written some amazing pieces! We had a fantastic time with some of our Year 6 at the Burnley School Sport Partnership Glow Dodgeball Festival! Our glow-in-the-dark games showed our values of "integrity" and "respect." Thank you to Mr Pope for organising the event, our amazing children, and parents who supported us!
This morning, our school was alive with the sounds of music thanks to Rocksteady Music School! 
Children and staff came together for an engaging assembly, exploring a variety of instruments and enjoying live performances from our talented bands.

A fantastic effort from our Yr3/4 tag rugby team at the Burnley School Sport Partnership event this morning! After developing their skills, they played brilliantly, winning 3 out of 4 league games and scoring an incredible 22 tries! Huge thanks to Miss Baxendale for her amazing support!
What an amazing start to our work with Rosegrove Infant School! Today, our Year 5 Guardian Angels from Yr5 Oak Class met their buddies, sparking new friendships for the year ahead. We can’t wait for Year 5 Chestnut's visit tomorrow! It’s fantastic to see our school communities coming together. Stay tuned for more heart-warming updates!
Today, our School Council hosted a delightful Cake Sale raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support! The children came together with enthusiasm, raising an amazing amount that we are still counting! A huge thank you to Miss Roberts and our fantastic children for their unwavering support throughout the event. Together, we made a difference and enjoyed some scrumptious treats! 
We are proud of our incredible Yr6 Girls Rugby Team who represented Lowerhouse Junior School at the Yr7/6 Girls Tag Rugby Festival! They showcased fantastic teamwork, qualifying for the finals stage and winning 2 out of 3 matches. Their hard work earned them an impressive 2nd place!
