  • Sports Council

Members of the Sports Council are keen to promote teamwork, healthy lifestyles and, most of all, fun while improving PE skills. They help in various ways around school, including organising equipment, supporting events and helping younger children at lunchtimes. Here at Lowerhouse Junior School, we feel that sport is very important. Being active and healthy plays a huge part in our day-to-day life. The sports council is therefore crucial to the development of sport in our school. They also talk about how they will need to start practising how to describe what they are learning in P.E e.g. specific skills, so that they become more fluent.

The Sports Council provides a link between the PE staff and the rest of the school. They can give feedback ideas, help to sort out clubs, playground activities and really be the voice of sport in the school. The sports council have and will continue to help us receive the School Games Gold Active Award!  It's been an exciting year of sport ahead at Lowerhouse Junior School.
