Our girls football team finished 3rd place at their Burnley Qualifiers!
They showed determination with 3 draws and just one narrow defeat. Thank you to Mr Cosgrove for organising this event, and to all the families for their support! Let’s celebrate this achievement together!


Congratulations to our Yr5/6 Football team for their incredible 2nd place finish in the Burnley School Sport Partnership Final this afternoon! They fought hard against 7 teams, achieving 5 wins, 1 draw, and 1 narrow loss. A huge thank you to all the parents and families who cheered them on—your support means the world!



Our Year 5/6 football team had an incredible start to their season with two fantastic wins: 3-1 and 3-0 in their Johnson Cup Fixtures! Special shout-outs to TH and KH for their brilliant goals! We are so proud of our Year 5 and Year 6 children who shone at the Burnley School Sport Partnership Sportshall Athletics festival!
Our school values of aspiration and resilience shone through in all their events. From speed bounce to relays, they gave their all and showcased their talents brilliantly!



A huge congratulations to our Yr5/6 Football team for qualifying for the Burnley FA Finals! After an action-packed afternoon at Burnley College, they achieved four impressive wins and demonstrated outstanding teamwork. Thank you, Mr Pope for organising the team this afternoon, and our amazing parents for their support! Let’s cheer them on in the finals!

Some of our Year 6 rugby players excelled at the Burnley Sports Year 6/7 Touch Rugby Event! They played brilliantly, scoring amazing tries and superb victories whilst shoring our value of "integrity". A massive thank you to Mr Pope for his fantastic support! Well done, team!



We had a fantastic time with some of our Year 6 at the Burnley School Sport Partnership Glow Dodgeball Festival! Our glow-in-the-dark games showed our values of "integrity" and "respect." Thank you to Mr Pope for organising the event, our amazing children, and parents who supported us!



We’re thrilled to celebrate our amazing Panathlon Challenge Bowling Team who represented our school at the Burnley School Sport Partnership event this morning! They displayed our values of “respect” and “aspiration” with exceptional enthusiasm. A big thank you to Mrs Windle for her support and for being amazed at their efforts. They made us all proud!



Some of our Year 3 children had a fantastic time at the Burnley School Sport Partnership Target Festival after school, participating in curling, boccia, and more! A massive thank you to Miss Baxendale for organising the wonderful team an our parents for their amazing support. Well done, Year 3!



A fantastic effort from our Yr3/4 tag rugby team at the Burnley School Sport Partnership event this morning! After developing their skills, they played brilliantly, winning 3 out of 4 league games and scoring an incredible 22 tries! Huge thanks to Miss Baxendale for her amazing support!

We are proud of our incredible Yr6 Girls Rugby Team who represented Lowerhouse Junior School at the Yr7/6 Girls Tag Rugby Festival! They showcased fantastic teamwork, qualifying for the finals stage and winning 2 out of 3 matches. Their hard work earned them an impressive 2nd place!


Congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 6 footballers for representing our school so well at the Burnley School Sport Partnership event today!
