We have changed the way in which we record and report medical conditions and accidents/illnesses from 23rd February 2026.

We regularly review the way in which we record and report medical conditions and accidents/illnesses.

We have signed up to a new system called Medical Tracker and some of the functions available to us are:

• Incident/accident recording

• First aid recording

• Administering medication recording

• Tracking medication expiry dates

• Manage medical conditions

Parents/Carers do NOT need to download any new apps or sign in to any new websites; all you need to do is ensure that we have your up-to-date email address so that we can send these notifications to the main carer as and when they happen.

Naturally, if your child has a serious accident/injury or is taken ill and needs to go home, we will still contact you by telephone, or your emergency contacts if you are unavailable.

At Lowerhouse Junior School, we ensure all our students are safeguarded and supported from the moment they arrive at school. The safety of our pupils is our top priority, which is why we’re committed to ensuring all our staff and resources are fully prepared to respond effectively in the event of an allergic emergency.

The implementation of Benedict’s Law (The School Allergy Safety Bill) will ensure every school becomes a safer space for children who could suffer from a severe allergic reaction. All schools are required to store adrenaline pens on-site, prepare personalised medical plans for every pupil with a known allergy and provide allergy training for all adult staff.

To strengthen our allergy awareness, Lowerhouse Junior School has partnered with Kitt Medical. An award-winning provider of allergy management solutions which supplies life-saving adrenaline pens, online CPD training and a wall-mounted emergency Kitt to ensure we are equipped in the face of a crisis.

With the support of Kitt Medical, all our staff receive training on allergy awareness, incident reporting and medication management to ensure we know the exact steps to take in an emergency.

Plus, we have been equipped with a wall-mounted Anaphylaxis Kitt, which is securely stored on-site in the main entrance and stocked with adrenaline pens that are automatically replaced before their expiry date or immediately after use. A crucial measure to assure we always have life-saving devices available.

Our staff are equipped on what to do if the unexpected happens and we can ensure the best possible treatments to our children, staff and visitors when it is necessary.

Please consider the following points before submitting a Medicine e-form:

If at all possible, all medicine should be given at home.

• In extreme circumstances, this is not always possible. If your child is prescribed medicine 3 times a day, then we ask that this be done at home - in the morning before school, straight after school and then bedtime. If it is prescribed 4 times a day, then we can help them administer it in school.
•  Pupils are expected to remember when they require medicine.
•  Please complete the form giving clear instructions on why the medicine is required, how much to be given and when.
• ALL medicine is to be placed in a sealed clear bag with your child's name on it and given to the school office.
• No medicine can be administered without the completion of this e-form.
