Today the children started their day with some 'Just Dance' They then worked hard at finding the area of a triangle in Maths. In English, they created a tabernacle which featured phrases and words to describe their place on 'My Place'.

This afternoon, we enjoyed a movie and a popcorn treat!

At the beginning of the day, the children did their morning exercise. The children really enjoy this as it gives them the opportunity to feel energised for the day. Following this, the children completed a lesson on algebra - the children did so well with this and worked really hard. After this, the children went on the yard to complete their sports day! The children had so much fun completing all of the fun activities, and they also enjoyed competing against each other. After a well earned lunch break, the children worked on their English. During their English session the children looked at features of an explanation text. In the afternoon, the children wrote a letter to their future self. They wrote about the things they like/dislike about school, their passions, what they are most looking forward to about high school and some of their worries - as they were discussing their worries we spoke collectively to ease any concerns.

Today, the children worked hard in solving two-step equations in Maths and writing instructions in English. Later we looked at the 'Human Life Cycle' the children were able to name and order the stages of human development.

Today, we welcomed back some of the children from year 6. It was lovely to see their smiling faces! In the morning the children worked hard with their Maths and English. We had a calm afternoon drawing zentangle patterns whilst we discussed our time in lockdown and our return to school - we even managed to get outside in the shade. What a lovely day we had!
