Year 4 - Maple
Welcome to Maple!
Our Teacher is Miss Roberts and our TA is Mrs Ormerod.
We have swimming every Tuesday and PE every Thursday. Children should come to school in their PE uniform on swimming and PE days.
Spellings will be sent home every Monday for a spelling quiz on the Friday - please practice these regularly.

Our learning
English
We are exploring the poem 'Macavity' and using inference skills to understand how the victims of the crimes may have felt. We have compared this with real life news reports of cat criminals.
Maths
We have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes, particularly focusing on types of triangles and quadrilaterals as well as prisms and pyramids.
History
We have started exploring The Great Plague by making comparisons with previous learning about The Great Fire of London.
Art
We are practicing our sketching skills.
Computing
We are looking programming again, making comparisons between two different programs.
French
The children are building on their basic conversational skills in lessons including how to ask for certain items in a shop.
