Welcome to Maple!

Our Teacher is Miss Roberts and our TA is Mrs Ormerod.

We have PE every Tuesday and Friday. Children should come to school in their PE uniform on these days.

Spellings will be sent home every week for a spelling quiz on the Friday - please practice these regularly.

Our learning
 

English

We have started our new unit of 101 Dalmations by exploring noun phrases and writing in role as Pongo.
 

Maths

We are recapping our knowledge of place value and using this to help us to round to the nearest 10 and 100 as well as order and compare numbers. We have then used this knowledge to complete some mental addition and subtraction, sometimes using jottings such as number lines.

Art

We are exploring the work of L.S. Lowry and Adolph Valette. 

Computing

We are learning about the internet and networks. 

French

We have been practicing our basic conversational skills.

R.E.

This half term, we are learning about Hindu Dharma.

Geography

We will be learning about mountains, volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis.
